I wanted to thank the dancer who broke the fourth by breaking character and waving at my wife and 5 year old daughter at the Sacramento show. We had Diamond VIP tickets for the show and were almost unable to attend because of health issues my wife has been experiencing. We saw the show along the cat walk next to security in the drop zone instead of up front because of those issues. She had a very bad reaction to levothyroxine that was causing extreme joint pain to the point that the day prior to the show she was in able to get out of bed and stopped the medication. She saw her doctor the morning of the concert and was tested for an Autoimmune disease. The night of the concert she pushed through the pain to attend and I was kicking myself for spending over $2,500 on her birthday present if it was putting her through that much pain. When we entered the venue early we talked to the security along the cat walk and felt with what was going on we should stay close so he could help us out if need be. Our 5 year old insisted that mom hold her as much as possible and mom endured the pain sacrificing for her little one. After the opening act my wife was spent but persevered as I promised to hold our daughter through Katy’s show. Amelia just would not have it as she got back into mom’s arms after the third song. The security guard let my wife prop her on the railing knowing the pain she was in. By the time Katy was on the planet sailing overhead my wife was sitting on the ground having tremors as she was wracked with pain I asked her if she wanted to leave she said ____ no. I was holding my daughter through this period. She did not regain her feet until after Katy returned to the main stage and the music gave her a third wind. She even took our daughter back into her arms leaving me dumbfounded that she could do this. Then it happened as Katy went down the catwalk her eyes met my wife’s and daughters eyes and Katy smiled at them for a very brief moment and my wife was ecstatic. Later the dancer broke the fourth wall as I said before. After the show was over the show was over the security guard told her he was getting a wheelchair for her as he knew she would not be able to walk out of the venue. The next day she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s autoimmune disease. The only thing that disappointed us was that our VIP package arrived at the house as we were headed to the concert so we did not have any of the lanyards and swag for the show only 3 of the 25 Diamond witness ticket holders had their VIP packages prior to the show.
