KortneyWhile in Stockholm for “Witness: The Tour,” Katy Perry attended Spotify’s third Equalizer Project event. During, five up-and-coming Swedish female creators consisting of artists, songwriters and producers met with Katy, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek and Max Martin to share their experience and learn from each other. The Equalizer Project was started out of desire to fuel discussions and equality and breaking norms in the music industry and music studios. Spotify says of the project, “the goal of these discussions is to drive change and increave prevalence of women in the music industry” and that it’s “laying the groundwork for achieving greater quality in the music business.” Other guests at the dinner included Spotify’s Nordic Managing Director, Shellback, Noonie Boo and Tove Stryke.
